Rachael Banks is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Northern Kentucky University and is currently based in Louisville, KY. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Texas Woman's University and Bachelor of Arts degree in photography and painting from Bellarmine University.

Rachael Banks' work deals heavily with family dynamics, relationships, and notions pertaining to identity informed by place. In addition to photography and education, her interests are zine making, collaboration, self-publishing, punk subculture, social media, snail mail, and art collecting.

Rachael's work has been shown nationally, regionally, and internationally and has been featured in Fraction Magazine, Prism Magazine, Posi+Tive Magazine, Superstition Review, Feature Shoot, Lensculture, and has shown in exhibitions at PhotoPlace Gallery, Darkroom Gallery, Black Box Gallery, The Center for Fine Art Photography, and the Kinsey Institute.
